Worawi Makudi has had his football ban lifted, and is clear of all previous criminal charges. (File photo)LAUSANNE: Former Thai football chief Worawi Makudi had his three-and-a-half-year ban rescinded by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Monday. His ban was cut by 18 months last year after he took his case to Fifa's appeals committee. After his conviction, millionaire ex-police chief Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmuang won the election to head up the Football Association of Thailand (FAT). Worawi was found guilty by the Criminal Court in 2015 of forging documents during a re-election campaign as head of FAT, although the Appeal Court overturned the conviction in 2017.
